PLEASE "LIKE" AND STAY TUNED TO MY FACEBOOK PAGE THIS WEEKEND! I AM GIVING AWAY JEWELRY IN HONOR OF MY 39th BIRTHDAY!
Wintergreen Labor Day Weekend Saturday Sept. 1 10a-5p, Sunday Sept. 2 10a-4p
My spot this weekend is not on the gravel as I usually am. Find me over by the Mountain Inn near Meg West's beautiful oil paintings and Brian Lacy's wonderful pottery. This week is my first FULL week of work since I've had the boys! This means that my youngest is enrolled in the full time pre-k at the elementary school. Because of my awesome job of self-employment I have been able to be home a lot with my kids. This is sort of a big change as I now have MORE time to work towards accomplishing business and personal goals. And my babies are growing up! It's joyous and a little sad all at the same time.
I have jewelry in three weddings this coming weekend. This makes me feel THRILLED!! I love doing custom work. I know that my designs add that special touch to each event that I am honored to work on. I showed you the pretty earrings a few blogs ago that I designed for a bride. Below are some pieces I designed to match bridesmaid dress as well as something for the mother of the bride. I know that these will be worn at the special event but also worn after the event and something to have for a long time.
Broadway-Timberville Autumn Festival Saturday Sept. 8 9a-3p
Join me in Broadway. I am set up in front of BB&T. I love this show because I am so close to home. Here's the link to the Facebook Event Page. They have combined this with the Antique Car Show this year so there will be lots of cool stuff to see.
Charlottesville City Market Saturday Sept. 22 7a-12p
***SPRING HOUSE UPDATE***
My father in law and my husband on ladders in the blistering heat adding finishing boards to the roof. They have worked so hard in this project and I am so grateful for all their efforts. Our process is still slow but we do have forward progress and I am so excited for what's to come.
Shingles are next and they are just about ready to cut the holes in the roof for the SolaTubes. We will have two 14" round SolaTube skylights to add a lot of natural light to this studio space. Of course we will have plenty of full spectrum lighting once we get to that point, but because the building is so old, there's hardly any windows or regular natural light. I had to lobby hard for the SolaTubes but this was something I felt was really important in a studio space for me.
